Australian Grand Cherokee L launch model specs and pricing revealed

Jeep Australia has announced specs and pricing for initial WL75 Grand Cherokee L variants, including entry Night Eagle, Limited and top line Summit Reserve with showroom arrival expected mid 2022. Pricing ranges from $82,250 to $115,450 before on road costs with full-time 4WD on all variants and many optional safety features in the US standard in Australian market spec to ensure we score high on our ANCAP ratings.

Sources reveal ADR approval has also been granted for Overland and Summit with the three-row, which we would naturally expect to follow later this year.

The Pentastar V6 with up to 2813kg towing is the only model available in Australia at this time, with Hemi V8 only available in North American markets. Although per our previous speculation the new Stellantis GME T6 PHEV engine would be a perfect fit for the three-row WL75 in both 4xe and SRT specs and return 3500kg towing to the Grand with the loss of V8 and diesel options. The T6 is also now rumoured for launch at the New York Auto show this April. Additionally a 104L fuel tank is a welcome upgrade for long range touring.

Further to this Jeep Australia has also confirmed the two-row WL74 Grand Cherokee to be launched later this year in Night Eagle and T4 4xe PHEV variants to round out the Grand Cherokee range. Considering the new three-row Night Eagle is $21,800 more than the outgoing WK2 grand entry price, the two-row pricing  will be welcome.
